Declining Health for a 17 year old girl

Since I was 12 years old, I have experienced pain in my chest thinking I have a heart problem.  Sometimes I have shooting pains from my chest area that shoot up into my neck.  I come very close to pre-fainting and periodically black out and hit the ground with this happening for a month or so and then it goes away for a few months.  There are times my heart seems like it's beating very slowly and hard.  My doctor says I'm running around 54 beats / min.  When I wake up in the morning, there are times my lips are blue.  This happens a few times per month.  I sleep very irratically and sometimes feel like I'm awake (sleeping) but can't get out of my still body.  When I was in sixth grade (through to ninth grade) I became anorexic.  I believe it was self image problems.  I still struggle with this issue but it is much better than before.  I have a pretty high stress level due to family issues.  And yes....I play the role of the parent.   When I was a newborn, the hospital game me too large a dose of antibiotics and I'm now allergic to them. I am writing to this forum because our local homegrown doctors don't take me seriously and I'm certain that I have an issue which is getting worse.  The slow heart beat seems abnormal to me but the doctors don't seem to concerned.  Meanwhile I keep blacking out and often get close to it.  Please point me in some direction so I can get the help I need.

I also have a very similar one too. I was born with heart problums and almost died when I was little too, I'm 17 now going on 18 in a couple of months. On top of it I have asthma but not as bad as my sisters. Every year or two my mom takes me to the cardiavascual doctor (doc that looks at my heart) to check my heart, except she does it around the same time every year and its fine during that time of the year but when winter and fall come in its bad.I also found out when ever my mom went on a cruise with her boyfriend than I have a cadiacascualar disease which is basically unfixable.
I did research on it this morning and it is more common on 55yr old people and older. Just finding this out kind of makes me wanna stop smoking (Just started last week, kind of hard not too when almost everyone in your family is).

Hi, I have a very similar story to yours.  When I was about 14 I started getting chest pains that led to me passing out frequently.  I would be left feeling drained and disoriented at best.  I had many heath problems from birth so my family and educated but retarded doctors thought this new condition was just a new symptom.  I didn't thnk it was, but being so young and uneducated I trusted the doctors.  I kept passing out and my parents kept taking me to new doctors. 2 yrs later the doctors still couldn't agree on what was wrong with me.  They thought many things even thought I was having anxiety attacks and prescribed PAXIL.  Finally, on a last resort basis my dad decided to take me to an internal medicine doctor.  My dad helped me back to the room. Helped me onto the exam table and the doc put the little pulse thing on my finger.  He got a strange look on his face and took the thing off my finger and manually searched for a heart beat.  He still had a strange look on his face and called the nurse in to bring a new machine.  He hooked the new machine to me and my heart rate was down around 50.  He looked at my father and said "she has to be hospitalized."  They rushed me over to the hospital and after many test realized that I have Supra Venticular Tachycardia.  I hope my story helps you.  I am sorry you are sick, but just know that everything will be ok.  Most doctors don't think outside the box, but you will find one that will know how to help you.
