Adding to my post. When i get these catch of breath or feels like a light flop or hiccup feeling but not from my diaphragm i feel no pain. It just feels like my breath is interrupted for a split second. Its by my sternum half an inch over to my right breast area. Not sure what it is but it really feels uncomfortable.
What did you find out? I started with these symptoms in 2013. Ive been fighting with these anxieties and stress for quite sometime. I got my first episode during the summer of 2013. I felt something just take my breath away for a split second that i almost passed out. I was driving with my son at the time. Anxiety kicked in and my heart was racing. I only got them two more times after that but not as strong. Then i had another spasm again two days ago which i hadn't had one since 2013. It took my breath away and i just felt a light head rush and not sure if it was just the anxiety kicking in. I had a full work up in 2007 of my heart. I had the whole nine yards done. Ekg, holter, nuclear medicine, echo, then the heart cath. Pipes are clean as a whistle. Also had another work up done but this time only with a Cat Scan...still everything normal. Ive been dealing with a lot of stress and anxiety for the past few years. Ive had to let go of my job and get something more settle. This catch of breath is something i can't pin point out. Some say its a hiatial hernia, esophagial spasm, h pylori which i had in 2012 but got that cleared up. Not sure if its back again but it really puts me on nerves end. If you found anything out about it. Please let me know.
Thank you as well!! Very appreciated!
Thank you so much! I will keep you all posted. I really appreciate the feedback.
I agree, it could even be symptoms of a hiatia hernia.
I'm not a health professional, but if I were you, I'd ask to be referred to a gasteroenterologist. You may have have swallowing problem or a GERD problem. I've had a lot of heart issues as well as problems with digestion, and these issues aren't easily sorted out. That being said, I'll bet they are a digestive issue.
Keep us informed.
