Your ejection fraction is in the normal range (50 to 70% amount of blood pumped with each heartbeat), but sometimes there is a decrease of blood filling the chamber so the cardiac output is reduced.
It seems the focus of therapy would be to stablize the heart rate and preserve left ventrical functionality with medication (beta blocker...toparol). Control blood pressure, etc. to prevent or delay progress/ stop diastolic dysfunction (filling pattern). And Norpace is an antiarrhythmic medication. The medication should have favorable effecrt on A-fib and PVC's. Coumidin is effective in preventing clots in the event of an arrhythmia episode.
It appears your doctors are treating you well with the medication...i don't know of any other therapy at this time. Hope this helps some and thanks for sharing. Take care.
