Short p-r interval

So, i have a short p-r interval of 112 ms. The last time i took an ekg in jan 2009 (after an accident) it was 116 ms. I am reading that the normal range of pr is 0.12 to 0.20 (or 120 to 200ms)......should i worry becaue of my pr values? All other values were within normal range both times. The p-axis changed from 36 in 2009 to 60 in 2010 but within range. Please help!

The PR interval is therefore a good estimate of AV node function...normal 120 to 200ms.  You are correct the internet provides the parameters as you state...I relied on my memory!
A short PR interval can represent a heart rhythm disorder rhythm...early ventricular contractions, etc.

The PR interval represents the time from the onset of atrial contractions to the onset of ventricular contractions. "A short PR interval may also occur as a normal variant (unexplained noise in the system), although it is much more common in the pediatric population and at faster heart rates. In itself it is not dangerous". It may also cause heart rate varibility, skipped beats, double beats, etc.

Hpoe this helps!

Thank you for the info. i am surprised you mention 50-120 as the normal range......i have only seen 120-200 on the web, and ppl advised to see doctors at 80<x<120.........thats why i got nervous. Anyone else with similar experience?

Normal range for p-r interval is 50-120 ms. Your representaton of 112ms and 116ms is within the normal range.
Hope this helps.
