WPW or normal?

I am 59 years old, and had an ekg at my dr's office. She said I had a short PR interval. A year later I had one episode where my HR dropped to 30 beats lower than my norm and I had palpitaitons and chest pain. The ER docs said the EKG showed a flattened T wave,( but said "you had to squint to see it" when they showed my husband the EKG-my husband is also a dr.).  Then my internist looked at it and said I had a short PR interval and thats associated with WPW and ordered a 48 hour holter monitor.  At the time my Potassium level was "critical" at 2.7 (3.5-5 is normal). All of the nurses and the ER doc said the low potassium level would cause the symptoms I had.  Wondering if the holter is really necessary. Ive never had a heart rate above 110 range except on vigouros exercise.
