What may I have

About nine months ago I woke up with tingling on the left side of my body and noted that my blood pressure (BP) was very high. I was rushed to the hospital and my pressure was stabilized, but because of funny sensations that came randomly, I had anxiety that kept letting my blood pressure rise anytime I felt a discomfort I was not used to. Nine months down the line my BP is quite stabilized even with the discomfort.

The discomfort I felt were mostly on my left side. Sometimes the tingling will be in the feet or times it would be the hand and occassionally both. As, I complained, I was sent to a cardiologist who had me do a 24 hour holter - the results were fine. A neurologist had me do an MRI and they report said the brain was normal. My chest xray was fine, the xray of my neck and waist showed minor spondylosis - at that time my GP thought the symptoms could be from the spine and suggested and an MRI of it.

Over the days I have good days where I feel nothing and days where I get sudden attacks, some in ways I have felt before and others that are new -either in form or intensity. About 3 weeks ago I felt discomfort on or in my chest. When I went to cardiologist he did an ECG and said. I had a inferior myocardial infarction and put me on strict bed rest, last week I repeated it and the ECG was fine - but I am advised to take things slowly.

Unfortunately, my left side discomfort is intensifying - it is now metamophorsing from tingling and heat into slight pain. I saw another neurologist for a second opinion and she has had me do a second MRI with a machine she says is more powerful, I am awaiting the report.

My problem is that my doctors mostly point to stress as the source of my problem, I do now that my projects are putting a lot of strain on me but I usually don't think I let that border me too much. However, my bigger worry is that the doctors may not have properly diagnosed my ailment and thus the worst could happen in between my trips to health practitioners and they trying to figure out what my problem is or what my problems are.

For example most of yesterday. I was fine but at night I real heaviness is my leg below the knee and it has lingers till this morning and I feel sharp (though not painful) pricks across the parts of the left side of my body.

I will appreciate any insight on my condition. Thanks in advance

Do you have any anti anxiety meds?(Clonazepam, lorazepam,Valium, Xanax) etc.Under a physicians guidance, take one and see if the pain subsides. If it does, you just might have a pain inducing stress problem....If not, DEMAND, (I MEAN FIRM NOT QUITE MADDOG MAD) furthur tests and another doctor if necessary.Doctors are a fickled lot. Some are in it for the $, others are sincere and compasionate...you must find the latter with added skill........If you are able, go to the best facility within a day's distance, at the least...Good luck, God Bless you......
