Hi Kelly...
You're wondering if he's looking out for your best interests.....Well, if you weren't already going in a months time for your other tests, I'd say "no". I don't think 1 month, with no obvious symptoms, will make much difference.
I'm just happy that the stress test ruled out any worrisome heart problems in your case. Post your update after you have all your other tests...We're always interested with outcomes:)
Hi, I wanted to answer your ANA question. My dr finally called me and left a message. He said that next time Im in they will retest me but he is not concerned and does not feel additional autoimmune testing is required at this time because my level of 1:40 is extremely borderline. 1:39 is negative, and 1:40 is a very low antibody. He said most people with my level are normal. What do you think? I have no other symptomology at the moment. When I was filing my labs I noticed that My husband actually had a positive with a 1:80 level and went through all of the other blood tests and they were negative. So I dont really know what to make of this. I will be going back in a month or so anyway for that blood test that tests allergies/sensitivities to foods...Is this dr loooking out for my best interests? Thanks
Kelly
Congratulations on your wonderful test results. My PAC's are hormone driven. The lower my estrogen level the more PAC's I have. I am 44 years old and am currently in a menopausal state due to an injection of Lupron which halts the ovaries production of estrogen. I'm was taking Lupron for endometriosis. My cardiologist warned me that the Lupron could increase my PVC's but instead the PVC's stopped and PAC's started. And boy did they start....I'm having 10,000+ daily and they are driving me crazy. My primary suggested adding back estrogen but I have decided to wait for the Lupron to dissipate which can take up to 3 months. Another side effect of the Lupron is anxiety and mood swings. You can only imagine how all of that feels with the PAC's. My poor husband. lol I have an appointment with my cardiologist on Friday to wear a 24 hour halter monitor for piece of mind. My cardiologist is very sympathetic and is willing to work with and suggestions I may have even though his bottem line message is "you'll be fine".
Darn these hormones. I'm also reading a wonderful book by Elizabeth Lee Vliet, M.D. called "Screaming to be Heard, Hormone Connections Women Suspect and Doctors Still Ignore." I purchased it on Amazon for under $3.00 used. You might like it.
Take care and happy new year.
Lori
Hi Kelly...
What great news to start the New Year!!!:) Fluctuating hormones can really do a number on our rhythm and can certainly exacerbate PVC's. I will be 40 in March, so I can relate to what you're dealing with:) It can really stink being a woman sometimes*LOL*
So Mg Supps, no other meds for symptoms...that's great. The less medication the better. I am so happy that your news was good. Now for the ANA followup. Did you get the call from the Dr regarding this?
