Annoying Palps or Skips

A day does not go by that I do not get a few skipped or jumped beats. They usually come together but not always. I don't get them constantly, but more in the evenings. Will I just have to live with these? I'm 28, male, in fairly good health, non smoker, rarely drink alcohol or caffeine. I've had lots of tests to include holter, ekg, stress, blood. None were to be worried about so I was told. I'm going for yet another opinion this month. These skipped beats don't reslly disrupt my life, but they are very noticeable when they happen. I'd say I get around 15 per day...Blood pressure is normal. Pulse is usually around 89. Do I need to just try and deal with these? Will they ever go away or am I stuck with them. Thanks for any input!

15 per day? I'm not sure, but I think I could live with that many per day :P  rest assured that virtually everyone on the planet gets skips every day, some are lucky and never notice - then there are those of us who suffer our whole lives with these dreaded things.

I've had over 50,000 daily for almost 2 years straight, but before that suffered numerous bouts of pvc's daily and VT runs since I was 9.  Most pvc's are benign and it may take years before yours increase if they ever do, count yourself lucky if they don't and try to find what triggers you may have (bloodwork if they haven't may yield some answers).

You have alot going for you - you're healthy, young and your tests show no damage or problems with your heart.  Keep your heart strong and healthy and exercise, which seems to help most pvc sufferers for some reason.

I've read alot of us get them more at night, I think I read it's due to our heart rates being lower then and the fact in the evenings we may be relaxing and hr low causes you to feel the impact of a pvc more. (hope that makes sense I'm not quite awake enough yet)

Hi i read your post.....i think that its a great idea that you are going to go get a second opinion to get to the bottom of this.  In putting things into perspective for you the human heart beats over 100,000 times in a 24 hour hour period on an average but i know for myself that when i went thru that period myself it was definately a little scary but i had a whole different thing going on.  Your tests have come out negative so thats a plus...the doc may just feel you are having benign issues with the palps you are going thru but you still need a final diagnosis and closure here if this is what they feel.  There is alot that can be done for your issues but it depends on the severity of them....if it is effecting your every day life you should let the doc know that so that they can possibly give you a little something to keep them at bay.  But if it were my body i would be doing exactly as you are....getting the answers.....good luck with this........
