I would definitely do some research on the success rate for pvc ablations.  My EP will not even broach the subject unless I am having more than 21,000 a day and even still like Tom said, the ablation comes with mixed results and may actually create more problems.  If you are having runs of ventricular tachycardia or worse still sustained vt then an ablation is likely something to seriously consider but I am with Tom and wonder if trying the meds first might be a better option to begin with if you are having isolated pvcs.  But either way good luck with your second opinion and whatever you choose to do.

....there's also a branch of the outstanding Cleveland Clinic at the Chester County Hospital in suburban Philadelphia.

You home, Egg Harbor is an hour or so from Philadelphia.  There are some very good electrophysiologists at U of P.  I'd try there.  Without knowing your history, it's surprising to hear someone say "I've been told I need an ablation" for PVC's.  They are a bit of an elusive thing to nail down and ablate, and from my time here on the forum success in getting rid of them is somewhat mixed.  Have you gone the drug route?  PVC's without a doubt are the single most talked about subject here on the forum.  Many of us here have had EP studies with ablation, and will be able to answer any questions that you have regarding the procedure.
