My bp is actually a little low when I train. I get pale in the face from time to time. But on a regular basis my bp is 120/70 give or take about 5 or so. I eat fairly good. To put it in better terms, I eat put calories in my body about 7 times a day, I drink only h2o and smart milk. Low fat, almost no saturated fats, low cholesterol intake, high proteins, high fibers, no soda or coffee, fish at least once a week. I figure I am getting them again because I am under some pressure this time of the year. They are more uncomfortable than alarming I guess. Sometimes they can be a lttle strange. Once I get them, I hop off the couch and do some push ups, they seem to go away every now and then. I just live my life day to day and pray for good health. I remember being seen at the ER once for them and the doctors were telling me when they were gonna happen. Then they told me it was just one chamber of the hart not cooperating with the other part. But they said it was not anything to be alarmed by.
Hello...
"Curse of the PVC's" Love that!
Having been through 2 previous stress test which did not reveal any perfusion defects and a holter showing no sgnificant arrythmia...it is probably safe to assume that these PVC's that you are feeling could very well be related to stress/anxiety.
It could also be changes in your body’s autonomic tone which can affect how frequently PVC’s occur, or how prominent the sensation is when they do occur (most of the time PVC’s are asymptomatic). Sometimes, the increased vagal tone after eating causes a slower heartbeat, which facilitates the premature beats.
I can't predict the future for you but your family history seems related to defects of the heart, more specificaly valves, not any kind of arrhythmia leading to death. For you to prevent future problems with relation to heart disease...stay focused on keeping your total cholesterol levels down, LDL-down and your HDL-up. You are very lucky that you are able to contol this by diet (some of us aren't so lucky :{ Keep exercising and cntinue to keep you BP under control. What does your bp typicaly run while taking the BB?
Stay on the path of a heart healthy life!
hey, since you helped me im gonna help you out....
ok i've had pvcs for the past year or so...they are just an extra beat ,and thats what you have to think about, its just another beat.i know it can be terrifying, but you have to try your best to overcome these. dont let them take over, because they definetely can.whenever this happens make sure you are not leaning on or laying on your left side. drink some water. watch tv or do something that will get your mind off of them.
