First, I think you should see a cardiologist, describe what happened after seeing the chiropractor, and ask for a Holter monitor. This is something you wear like a small cross-chest purse that records your heart's activity for 24 hours--at a minimum. It can be worn for longer, but if your problem occurs whenever you sit, the monitor should catch several of these episodes in a 24 hour period. That should tell your cardiologist more than would be possible in an ER visit.
Second, though I don't know enough to speak authoritatively, there is something called "Thoracic Outlet Syndrome," which results from an unusual anatomy plus some other factors, including trauma. This may not be related to your case, but it can produce numbness of the hands and arms. You can google it.
I have taken some anatomy and physiology classes, and have reason to think that chiropractic can do great harm to people who have unusual or unsuspected problems of the skeleton, nerves, or blood vessels. Please do not revisit your chiropractor before seeing a cardiologist and getting an OK.
