Wide Complex Tachycardia..Confused

I had one quick run of wide complex tachycardia on a 2 week event monitor and the more I read about them the more confused I get. I went to my cardiologist on Thursday but he didn't have the ekg strip from that event yet and said he didn't even believe I had wide complex tachycardia no matter what the report said. I had LifeWatch (monitor company) fax the event strip to my primary doctor today, but the problem was my primary doctor was not in, and the NP who was working and just out of school said she really don't know how to read a ekg, but it didn't look like VT to her.  My question is can 1 run of wide complex tachycardia be no big deal? that's how my doctors are making it  seem. On the day and time the event happened I wrote in a notebook very strong different feeling palpitation and that matched up with the event when I got the final report.. Also it doesn't say on the event strip how long the event lasted. It reads 1 EPISODE 02/26/2016  2;08 pm  FINDINGS: WIDE COMPLEX TACHYCARDIA,, SINUS BRADYCARDIA,, SINUS RHYTHM.  HEART RATE RANGE 59,9-111.8    PR INTERVAL 0.17 - 0.00 {s}   QRS 0.08 - 0.12 {s}   QT 0.39 - 0.00 {s}   maybe this info will help somebody tell me how long the episode lasted and maybe the {s}  after each reading means my heart was in sinus rhythm during the episode and not in vt?  just a hopeful guess. It seems like every time I get test results it's on a Friday late afternoon so I go nuts all weekend waiting to talk to my cardiologist on Monday;

I really can't tell by what you wrote how long it was.  This said, in any otherwise healthy heart a short run of VT is really of no consequence.  Especially in the absence of  troubling symptoms like severe shortness of breath or passing out.  If you maintained your ability to function and your heart is otherwise healthy then odds are your heart can handle short runs of VT.  If it happens a lot or sustains then that may be a concern but otherwise they really don't do much for them.  If you are having a lot of ectopic activity they usually try beta blockers to try to ease them.  Otherwise you just have to try to pinpoint and avoid the triggers like caffeine, sugar, carbohydrates, spicy foods, acid reflux and stress/anxiety.  So try to not dwell too much on the results if your heart is healthy.  the more you hyper focus on what it is doing the more it will bother you and may even bring more symptoms on.  Try to trust the doctors when they say you have nothing to worry about.  Take care.

Thank You for your reply. I have been having more episodes of pac's and atrial runs lately, but nothing ever seems to concern my cardiologist.
