I was feeling really crappy last night and was extremely thirsty, my pulse was elevated and I was unable to sleep, so my college called the medics for a "wellness check." They came, took my vitals, and said I was fine. They don't check blood sugar unless you're unconscious or hyperventilating. I tried to get some sleep, and the same thing is happening now this morning. I feel weak, my pulse is high (and was REALLY high when i got out of bed and stood up) and I just feel crummy in general. It's the way you feel when you have the flu or have had food poisoning or something where you know you're dehydrated and exhausted, except I know it's not the flu (no fever) and I know I'm not dehydrated (because of the thirst I've downed 3 liters of water in the last 24 hours!) I just really wish I could figure out what's up, but it's the weekend and I can't see a doctor without an expensive trip to the ER. I should mention, I had WPW (successfully ablated), I currently have neurocardiogenic syncope, and also have occasional PAC's. I'm on atenolol.
Sorry I don't have a good answer for you Leslie... When I get out of bed I am still asleep til I get my caffine drip.... uh I mean cup of coffee = ). Do you feel dizzy? Weak & shaky does sound a lot like blood sugar stuff. Have you asked your family doctor about this? Maybe you should make an appointment.
