Can't find information for a surgery I might be getting

I have having PVC, as well as many other heart rhythm issues for a long time, and I will be seeing a Cardiologist on the 7th of Jan to discuss what he thinks. Now, I have been told by two seperate doctors (my main doctor, and the one who did my treadmill test about two days ago), that my Cardiologist has suggested, or at least talked about, some surgery where they burn the part of my heart that is not working properly.

My question is:

What is this surgery called, exactly?

I want to look it up and find information on it, and on Wiki they have it listed, but they don't have the actual name listed, just a little bit of information.

Does this surgery have a name?

Thank you for your answers, it is greatly appreciated.

Yep its an ablation.  A simple, simple surgery and you may be going home a couple of hours after its done.  Its non invasive.....no pain afterwards...fast recovery.....look it up on line and see if you can find along with the search a Dr. Natale/Dr.Schienmann they are the ones who developed the procedure and you''ll be loving life after you've had it done trust me.......

Most common is the radio frequency ablation. Sometimes people get a cryoablation where they freeze tiny spots in the heart that cause the arrhythmias. I've had 3 RF ablations done on my heart. And there are plenty of people on the board that have been through this. Feel free to ask any questions you may have.

I sounds like your doctors are talking about an Ablation.  This is a surgery done via catheters, and does not require opening the heart.
