Palpitations and painful pounding pulse

Yesterday, I was getting these crazy sharp pains in my neck but only when I felt my pulse beating there, it would stop, start back in, stop, start back in, etc etc. My face got numb, tinging went crazy in my neck and face, my neck definitely went into a spasm, no question, had some painful spasmic sensations running into my jaw and chest area. The tingling got pretty strong all over. Thoracic ended up in a spasm, sharp pain there with movement, my abdomen got tight, and my throat was tightening up. Don't get why this started with a pounding painful pulse.

Now I went through the routine of being checked for heart problems years ago, everything was okay (complex PVC's). So last time I was at the doctor, he said my pulse was normal but too fast and wanted to do an EKG and I didn't think it was at all necessary. Later on, I checked it and my pulse was 130. Last night it was pounding but only 86 bpm, normal rhythym.

I don't get it. Is it the artery causing pain? Why isn't it nonstop, why does it come and go with the strength of the heartbeats?

Going through the same thing for 2 years now, but the numbness in the arm and face started only a couple months ago. My left cheek and mouth get numb as well as my left bicep. Pretty scary. My heart also beats hard and fast 24/7. Also, when I do simple tasks like pick something up off the ground or stand up and use the bathroom, my heart goes crazy. I'm scared to workout now. Doctors are saying it's anxiety. I have also started getting shooting pains in my neck, back, and legs. And I too am worried it's an artery problem...(damn you taco bell!) It's really scary to have pain in your chest.

I have arthritic degenerative changes in my back, multiple xrays have shown my neck is in a spasm. I understand why it hurts.

Anxiety attacks can make you hyperventilate, causing numbness and stiffness in your body, you'll have trouble breathing. What your describing doesn't sound like that.

Have your doctors checked you to see if your heart is okay or run any tests to see why your going numb? Do you think there is any possibility of a pinched nerve somewhere?

I'm not really scared that I have any type of heart problem. Doubting I do. I think this painful pulse issue may just be one very weird symptom I get that may not have any explanation. Just wondering if anyone else has experienced it or not.
