Scary Symptoms

I have been having a vibrating in my chest and what feels like an irregular heartbeat, especially when I lay on my left side or my stomach. Of course, I didn't have this when I had my Cardiologist appointment today, so they didn't get it on the EKG.

My Cardiologist said the EKG was normal, but would it show anything if I wasn't having symptoms at the time?

I feel my heart pounding, although my pulse is normal. But the most disconcerting this is feeling the irregular beats. I also have PVC's, but these are different.

Does anyone have any idea what this could be?

I have had that "vibrating" usually when I lie down after drinking water or when I feel bloated. I am starting to think it is gas, I do not recall having that feeling when I am standing. I hate it though, it IS definately weird.

I just posted something similar a few weeks ago, on another forum.

I was having a lot of vibration in my chest and I was also experiencing pressure (pressure I have had before however).  I couldn't really call it a flutter or a PVC, but I could definately tell it was vibrating.  It went away after a day or two-it was never constant, it just came and went.  I have given up trying to figure out what is wrong w/me.  My doctor keeps saying stress.....

I hope you feel better.

How long do A-Fib attacks usually last? I feel this mostly at night when I am laying down.

It's so hard to differentiate what is an actual heart symptom, or what is being brought on by my underlying Lyme Disease.

It could be A-Fib. It can make the upper part of the chest and neck feel as though it's vibrating.  Here is an excellent overview:  http://www.a-fib.com/Overview.htm

I have found only a few of us that feel "vibration" in the chest.  I never had it during an event monitor or other, but I'm still alive after 31 years.  I sometimes think it might be an air bubble that escapes and feels like a vibration at times.  I get flutters only sometimes when I feel it, so maybe, since the vagus nerve may be affected, one might cause the other.  Just a thought!  I don't get nervous much anymore (at least no more than with other feelings) but it is weird, isn't it?
