9 times out of 10 an ablation procedure could be more risky than trying other methods or do nothing at all. Unless you are experiencing TONS and I mean A LOT of PvC;s well over the 15000 in a 24 hour period, I would not even consider an ablation. I work in the OR at a major hospital, and I have seen things go wrong and terribly wrong with simple Cardiac caths and ablation procedures. Your symptoms are more than likely not going to warrant a surgical procedure.
Sorry to say, medicine is still a "practice" not a "science". Many health issues are understood only at the symptom level, medicine does not know what causes them or how to cure them.
Unfortunately too, as I read posts on this Community, PVC is one of the heart conditions that comes "out of nowhere" and isn't easy to cure. Some people respond to medications better than others, but to my knowledge, medications never cure the condition.
I believe PVC symptoms do sometimes respond to the ablation procedure.
