I’ve had two cardiac ablations for SVT at a young age (12 and 13 years old). The first ablation didn’t work so I went in for a second one that lasted about eight hours. I was told it would heal well and I might have a few skipped beats now and then, but after years I still have complications. I just always thought it was normal after my ablations. Whenever I raise my heart rate, something doesn’t feel right (pain and pressure in heart) and it either skips beats or tries to start up an “episode” of SVT again. I can’t get in to see a cardiologist anytime soon, so is this something that’s normal or should I try to find a cardiologist that will see me sooner? Could it possibly be too much scarred tissue in my heart, or reoccurring SVT?
