second ablation seems optimistic

Hi, I am a 60 year old male and I have had persistant afib for the last 5 years. I had an ablation done about 2 years ago and did not resopnd well to it and the afib continued and got worse after 6 months. I've now undergone a second ablation proceedure. I've been out of the hospital for about a week now and continue to remain in sinus rhythm. I'm very optimistic that I may be cured but don't want to get to excited at this point. Has anyone had good results with their second ablation proceedure?

Thanks for the reply. I'm experiencing a little tiredness but I think that's part of the recovery process. I'm still in nsr so I'm starting to become optimistic that I may be able to resume a normal life again. I see my EP in 6 days so I'm hoping I can withdraw from the pacerone, metoprolol  and coumadin soon.

Wishing you continued NSR!  I don't have any personal data, but from what I've read, it sometimes takes more than one ablation to get all the "sneak paths" blocked.
