Thrombosed haemorrhoids or something else?

Hi,

I have an issue which does not seem to be healing. I am 32 year old male, not over weight and have no known illnesses. There is no bleeding, no excess mucus and no itching, I goto the toilet on a regular basis (once a day) and not constipated (once every few months).

For the past 12 - 18 months I have been having a severe dull ache when I sit down, so severe its making me depressed and effecting my mood. I am a software developer and undertaking a PhD in Computer Science, so I sit approx 15hrs a day. It saps my energy and I find it hard to concentrate.

I have a dark purple ring protruding from my anus which is clearly visible during a bowel movement. The mass somewhat recedes after I go to toilet but I then have the sensation as though I need to goto the toilet again. There is never any respite from this issue, its either bad or very bad.

I have been to my doctors 4 times, they have given several different ointments and suppositories, none have worked. They took a blood test for reasons unknown to me, nothing was found.

I do not know what else to do.

There's no telling signs that what you're experiencing is hemorrhoid. Are you referring to the pillow-like cluster in your rectal area? Don't worry we all have that thingy.

Hi, if the doc say its nothing then maybe its a relex action from your contant sitting causing your intestine to protrude. There is a issue where the intestine protrudes all the time and would need surgery to fix. I forget the term but i think is called intestine prolapse
