Hep B. Virus DNA

I was recently diagnosed with Hep. B and my current AST and ALT is around 160.  Which seem low enough compare to others.  However I find my Virus DNA count incredibly high at 1,110,000,000 H

Can someone tell me if they also have this high DNA count and what did the Doctor say about this?

If your HBeAg(+), HBeAB(-), then your DNA is expected to be high, but with little liver damage.  However, your ALT is also high, so your doctor by 2007 guideline may start antiviral treatment.

Hi Cajim,

Thank you for your reply. I know you are so kind to help others.
The doctor didn't test the HBeAg, HbeAB, He only test the HbAg: Reactive then test
virus DNA count and the result is incredibly high...
What it means? My liver function is damage right now?
I will have my doctor to check the two you mentioned and post to you right away.
