Good advice...treatment does have its side effects...took me about one year the first time to clear the meds from system.
For the most part I see people clearing the virus within 30 days with Incivek.
Side effects are severe but do-able.
If you respond wihin 30 days treatment duration is six months...three months Incivek/Rib/Interferon...three months Rib/Interferon to prevent viral blowback.
he means hcv drugs like interferon, ribavirin, boceprevir and telaprevir.
interferon itself has very heavy sides on hcv patients that dont happen with hbv and when combined with ribavir and the other antivirals the cocktail gets very very heavy.
the good part is they get rid of hcv at least
what side are you discussing it ?
this is hbv community, not hcv.
hbv drugs have no sides
Take your doctors advice. Don't rush into it. My doctors suggested that I do treatment while I was healthy and before my liver got to bad. That was a big mistake I will regert the rest of my life. I am now virus free but living with BAD side effects from the drugs. I wished I had never done treatment. Doesn't happen to many but it does to some. Remember " Most people with hep c die with it, Not from it"
Not sure what you are referring to, but I had a similar reaction from the VA.
"Why do you want to do treatment, your liver enzymes are all within normal ranges, your liver is healthy". When I brought up the new treatment I was told that, "That is all experimental and not a proven treatment."
Despite having additional healthcare coverage, the VA would not refer me to a specialist at UM, I had to go to an outside Dr.
You know your condition better than anyone...demand treatment.
change doctor because nothing can be understood from these tests
check hbcab igm, if negative you are cronic
check hbsag by abbott architect in iu/ml.your result 273 is not hbsag infact it has no unit, 273 is the reagent to make the test not hbsag
check hbvdna pcr
check liver damage by fibroscan
