hbv is the hbsag postive test result reactive or positive

the only antibody protective is hbsab

hbeag and hbeab antibody useless, hbeag negative is only less aggressive but cronic anyway

you husband is like any other cronic carrier, he must check the following in order to quantify the liver damage although only europe and rich asian contires have these tests/tools (US, canada and UK don t)

fibroscan every 6 months or yearly according to the damage, this is the only tool to monitor liver damage.the old way is biopsy but you cannot monitor because biopsy cannot be done so often and has risks/mistakes

hbvdna pcr, to check the virus replication, high replication is danagerous for liver cancer and cirrhosis during years

ultrasound every 6months and precore/bcp mutants, to be able to cure liver cancer in case it develops, mutants positivity reuiqres therapy because cancer risk s high after 35-40yo

liver blood tests are always normal and must be around normal range, they get abnormal when the damage is so advanced that ususally liver has a not reversable cirrhosis and life can be at risk in terms of years
