first of all most doctors are ignorant of inactive carriers just saying as inactive patients with hbvdna undetectable or with normal alt.inactive carriers mut have the following:
hbsag less than 1000iu/ml genotype D, other genotypes have lower hbsag
hbvdna less than 2000iu/ml
alt less than 30 men and 19 women
fibroscan less than 6kpa
to clear hbv by peginterferon an hbsag less than 1000iu/ml and very low hbvdna is needed but most ignorant doctors don t treat these inactive patients that can be cured
time depends on hbsag level usually 48weeks to a couple of years
some members cleared hbsag by less than 24 weeks but it is best to keep peg for 48weeks to consolidate response
thank you steff for quick reply. you have given me hope and a new life
when is the best time for me to start peginterferon?
i dont know when mine started but i was tested positive febuary last year.
i told me i might be chronic looking at my status. i didnt believe u but tested again this week with this results
Hepatitis B surface antigen (HBsAg) : positive
Hepatitis B surface antibody(HBsAb): negative
Hepatitis B e antigen(HBeAg): negative
Hepatitis B e antibody(HBeAb): positive
Hepatitis B c antibody(HBcAb): positive
which is same as last years results. 6 months ago
meaning i have being an inactive carrier for long.
whic
hbsag less or equal to 1000iu/ml
steff i dont know as at now. i am in ghana and the city in which i am,
they dont have machines for viral load. unless the capital itself and is
it is not viral load, that s useless to predict, it is surface antigen load in iu/ml
so that is hvb quantitative test right?
no i ve written 1000 times hbvdna is useless to predict hbv clearance, it is hbsag quantity
you ll never find it in your country you have to send samples to india, europe or maybe southafrica
then stef what about if i start medication right away?
without testing for hbsag quantity. or if you can help me how much do they charge for that in your country for me to send blood sample
then stef what about if i start medication right away?
totally useless without tests, it can make damage only
they dont accept blood samples to test in my country you have to travel here.an indian lab accepts samples sent by fedex
thank u steff for your help
but can you help me with some of the site to some of the indian labs so that
i can research and send it to them
.
because today you gave me hope that maybe i ca clear it in a year or more
thank u dear i am checking up
Dr Lal path lab does not provide value in iu/ml if the hbsag value is more than 250.do nit waste money. Go to ILBS in Delhi
thank u. I even googled Dr lal and realise that at times they give false report. so I am checking on your recommendation too. thank all of you for your support
I checked ILBS but I think they don't render international services. I am in Ghana and need a good lab over there who can test my blood sample for hbsag quantitative. so if u can find out for me I will be happy
You are correct ILBS don't render international service.I am also trying to find if someone other than ILBS also does this testing. I will let you know. But I think you should go through post" the best place for hepatitis treatment in India " .I think members there might help you out.
there are laps in Ghana that do hbsag in iu/ml, laps like .MDS lancet
HbsAg 5761 REACTIVE
Anti-Hbs 2.0 NONREACTIVE
HbeAg 0.085 NONREACTIVE
Anti-Hbe (reverse) 0.005 REACTIVE
Anti-Hbc IgM 0.019 NON REACTIVE
Anti-Hbc IgG (reverse) 0.406 REACTIVE
Pls anyone here give me somep advise my doctor also not discuss my result, ,
that s no quantitative, it is qualitative, the numbers have no units and so are useless
the machine used for the tests is obsolete
are you sure? thanks anyway I will find out. I would be happy if is true
