I am sure he and you both feel very disappointed. I am sorry. I have no words except that I hope that he and you have strength for another round with meds that have been proven with higher SVR rates for Genotype 1a. Its so hard to hope and wait only to be disappointed. Best wishes to both of you. Jo
Thank you for your kind words and prayers. I see on this forum, many folks who have done treatment many times. For my hubby, Sovaldi is not the answer with interferon and Ribavarin for genotype 1a. Guess they will need to revise the treatment recommendations, since that is what it currently recommended for genotype 1a, treatment naive. He did have a few good weeks of virus free but that Ribavirin and interferon kicked his butt.......thank you again.
Oops! I not only have no memory, I can't read either. I see he is Gt1a.
Watch the Led studies. P
I am so sorry to read this. As the caregiver for my husband, it hit me hard because this is what I fear is going to happen to my husband also. Just wondering if they will do a repeat test to make sure the results are accurate?
Our back up plan is Sovaldi/Ledipasvir. I am praying we won't need to go there but since he too is GT1a I think I need to prepare myself for the news.
Hang in there. The day will come...

Thank you, yes, that is good. We will get there. Just so disappointing. I noticed about 2 weeks ago, he was getting very moody, like he was when he had the virus. He was also complaining that his right side felt sensitive. Signs of the dragons return?????
Very sorry to hear this news.hope and prayers for you both.
I have forgotten (who has ever treated w INF and has any kind of memory?), if I ever knew what your husband's Gt is.
I ask because there are studies going on w/Led right now by Gilead, which are really emphasizing Gt 1s and 2 s.
Also Bristol MeyersSquibb are studying Dac - I am not sure but that may be w/Gt 3 s.
These are both very close to being marketed, so keep the faith! Tell your Hubby I am praying for both of you. SVR is in all our futures, it may just take a little longer than we thought! Pat
