Hi, I'm new.

I was diagnosed with AIH and CHC  Geno 1a several years ago.  Like many of you, I have all the aches, pains and fatigue that comes with it.   It's nice to find a place where everyone is so kind and understanding. Thanks for allowing me to join your community!

AIH=AutoImmune hepatitis

The body's own immune system attacks the liver. Causing inflammation (ie hepatitis).
The exact cause of AIH is not known but it appears that some diseases and things that are toxic to the liver can  trigger an autoimmune response in people who are genetically susceptible to developing an autoimmune disorder.

AIH is autoimmune hepatitis. Ever since I tried treatment in 2008, using Peg/CoPeg, my body has been doing more damage to my liver than the hep c.
For now, I am still grade 2 stage 2.  I need to decide on a treatment plan before it gets too bad.

There are many well informed people on this forum in regards to Hep C and tx, so I'm sure they will be able to help with any questions you might have.

I'm unfamiliar with AIH, what is it?
