"doc said drinking in small amounts is fine"
Then why ask a layman? We don't know the status of your health or liver disease. Your doctor does.

In my opinion drinking and hepatitis C don't mix. Simple as that. Alcohol is toxic to the liver and having hep C increases the damage done. Which in my opinion is not a good thing to do. I think there are many ways to celebrate without alcohol.

You won't die if you drink a normal amount of alcohol.

Same Bat question Same Bat answers.  I just love when people ask the same question over and over and expect different results. Thats just insane!

If you drink to excess and accidentally slip off the curb and get hit by a speeding cement truck..    .yes you may die,,otherwise drinking is just inflaming an already injured liver

We all make choices in life...

good uck with yours..

My crazy 8 ball is broken I'm sorry.

Considering none of us know how badly advanced your liver disease is, how much you plan on drinking or if you will fall into an alcoholic coma from drinking much too and getting alcohol poisoning it's just impossible to say.

Seeing as you just ged got off probation it doesn't sound like much of a smart idea anyways.

I don't think anyone means to make you feel dumb. The thing is if your doctor already talked to you about alcohol why come on here and ask if you will die if you drink?

If it is any consolation you will be able to drink with no problem after you clear the virus. This is just one blip in your life.
