Lifestyle can really be a help. Not consuming alcohol or unprescribed drugs, not smoking, eating nutritious fruits and veggies, reducing fats and animal protein, and regular exercise have all been shown to do wonders. The liver can repair some damage already done if we help it along. Some organs have little if any ability to do this. Knowing this about your liver can help motivate making the hard changes to diet, etc. Do things your doctor advises in small steps if you need to so you don't feel overwhelmed.
