labs after one week

Is it normal for RBC and Hemogloblin to drop so much after one week.
RBC was 3.95 mil/uL now its 2.8 mil/uL.  Hemo was 13.8 now down to 9.9.

First week was pretty uneventful. The Riba makes me feel hyper. During the day that's not a bad thing, its better than feeling tired all day. I take my night dose at 6, still can't fall asleep until 3 AM or so. Then I have to get up at 6 to get my kids ready for school. I took my first shot Monday night, didn't really feel anything as far as sides until Wed. Since then I've had a low grade fever and very painful leg, hip, and low back pain, to the point that it hurts to walk.

I have another set of labs set for tomorrow that my GI ordered after getting these results on Friday. I'm hoping my numbers go up, but doc says they'll probably be lower or about the same.

Thanks!!

Yea, I'm hoping this is just an initial adjustment to the meds. Doc will prescribe rescue drugs if I need them, and it looks like I will. But all in all, treatment has been manageable for Wk 1.  I just need to learn to slow down, it seems that the sx are more pronounced if I do too much.

So much for the honeymoon... with Hemo like that. Hopefully this is just a shock and awe bounce that is letting you know its doing it's job. The Riba makes me feel hyper, yup! me too all the way through treatment.
