That "someone" said last night he would not get rid of FEMA.  He's like a fish out of water with all of the flip-flopping.  And the Nor'Easter?.....naaaa it has nothing to do with global warming and neither did "The Perfect Storm".  (said very sarcastically)!  If we don't start doing something "yesterday" our kids, grandkids, great grandkids, are going to be living on water instead of land.

Agreed 100% with above posters...how can anyone say there is NOTHING going on. Shoot this storm was like a 'Day After Tomorrow' storm really. How scary is that that it could be the regular norm now.

And now there might be a Nor'Easter on the way for later next week.......

Love and Prayers for those on the East Coast  who were victims of Sandy.

Apparently, these disasters will be hitting randomly and wherever.
We should all be considering both public and private survival plans if we don't want to be sitting ducks.

I'm not sure the officials in my area would care about the residents
so I hope they're taking Sandy as a warning.

they gave out generators in lee county..my daughter got one...just like hot cakes....i think we have to take a good look at what a mess us humans have made....theres such a diminishing oxygen problem in the chesapeake bay its killing loads of wildlife...and in time will get to all of us... i'm a hypocrite too...but i try not to ignore how our economies are coming first...we just unloaded so much disgusting waist into the hudson....maybe this is the start of real problems with our subways....we need to move to higher ground or have floating cities.... pumping loads of energy into rebuilding in places that aren't made to build in....for now i think the police should fine all the folks in the path of these storms that leave stuff out...its littering!!!! and not needed....and come on...pull your boats...everyone up here did..as well as their docks...i see a beached boat and see leaking gas and oil...why don't we talk more about the pollution? someones making money....i would love a nice big house on pine island to relax my bod...but i would rather kayak in the mangroves and catch a nice red fish...more education...more work...i wish some of the big money folks on the water would take their houses down and move inland....they won't starve .its time to move out of the flood zones...our oceans will be 2 to 3 feet higher in the future....time to start doing something....and as far as gas goes..get a gas tank and fill it a few days before the storm...we need a 100 to 200 year plan SET IN ACTION soon or we will pollute to the point of no return....an environmental master plan to move away from oceans and deltas....billy

I think they give the generators to hospitals and crucial services and stuff. I dont think they just come up to a house and go here this is for you. Plus...you'd have to be able to go and get gas and these people are trapped and can go nowhere at all.
