Contracting Herpes through vaginal fluids

Two days ago I made out with a woman, we did a lot of kissing, and at one stage I fingered her down, not really deep into her vagina, just rubbed her clit for a while. She was quite wet there. Then I took my finger out, and after a few seconds licked it for a second, then she licked it, and then we kissed again.  Today I found out she has Herpes. I was wondering what are the odds of contracting Herpes from her (or any other STD)?

Thanks for the reply. I should mention that I licked with my tongue, not lips (again, very briefly) - is there a major difference, as far as the infection of nerve endings?
Also, if I got infected (with HSV1 or HSV2) am I likely to develop any lesions or irritations on the tip of my tongue or anywhere in the mouth, within the next 20 days?

All very minimal really. The fluid can carry viruses and bacteria but probably not enough to infect you with much. The saliva and body acids kill a lot of things. For herpes, rubbing of the virus into lips or mucous area is required such  that it reaches the nerve endings. If it is HSV2 then an oral infection is less likely as it doesn't take to the structure of oral nerves terribly well.

That said, as she is a confirmed herpes carrier. You should consider an IgG antibody test for HSV1 and HSV2 in 12 to 16 weeks. If other STDs are of concern, then testing from say a week or two is required.
