Red and Sore Pearly Penile Papule (I think)

One of the small PPP's (or something that is located EXACTLY where all my other PPP's are) on the rim of my penis has become red and sore to touch directly (probably made worse by me squeezing it - I think a tiny amount of fluid came out) - the problem seems to be going away slowly, but I wanted to make sure that this is a fairly normal thing to happen from time to time, and that it couldn't be something else such as a tiny herpes bump that just happens to correspond directly with the location of the PPP's?  I've never had herpes before, and it's just one tiny spot less than 1mm across that hasn't been weeping or crusted over or anything.  It didn't feel sore (like an electric sting type sensation when I touch or wash  it) until I squeezed it, which I did about 3 or 4 days after first noticing it.  Many thanks!

you shouldn't be picking at pearly papules. they are completely normal and poking and proding at them does nothing but risk irritation and even bacterial contamination of your skin.

I'm guessing you have already compared your symptoms to pictures of PPP online.  However, self-diagnosis is not reliable and you should definitely be seen by your doctor.

However, Genital Herpes outbreaks generally present with a number of clustered blisters, generally located on the head of shaft of the penis.

Have you ever been tested for GH before?  If not, it may be wise to request a type specific IgG blood test when you see your doctor.  This should be done soon, while you still have active genital symptoms.

Also, on a final note, do not touch the sore.  Leave the area alone.  If you rub, prod, and poke the sore it won't heal!
