Do I have Genital Herpes HSV1

About a month a go I had a cold sore. I conducted oral sex on my girlfriend and unfortunately have her HSV1 on her genitals. She consulted a doctor and tool voltrax for 5 days, the swelling went down and her blisters were disappearing.

It's important to note at this time I did not have HSV1 in my genitals.

All was going well until in an intoxicated moment we had sexual intercourse. After 2-3 days I have 3 very small red bumps/spots on my penis. I am aware this is an early warning sign of genotal herpes.

Basically, do I have HSV1?

Also, will this turn into a full blown outbreak? Will I have more outbreaks? If I have a new sexual partner in a few months will they get it? Will the chance of them receiving HSV1 in their genitals be reduced if I was to take voltrax daily.

Thank you in advance.

Thank you all for commenting. Turns out I panicked over nothing. The reason why girlfriend got it was because she has never had a cold sore before and her body was not immune to it.

However, we both have done research and it is unlikely that I will ever get it for many reasons.
1) I've got it orally
2) HSV1 in the genitals is only contagious 1 week out of 52.
3) ALWAYS WEAR A CONDOM

Thank you again. Good luck

hi Jay, I am  bit worried about a situation myself that is a tad bit different but also kinda similar. I have heard from a lot of people that if you have HSV-1 orally you have an immune to it or something. but then I read a post like this and I really start to wonder.

would you be able to keep us up dated?

I also wonder if it a; depends on how long you have had HSV-1. I have been getting cold sores as far back as I can remember ( at least over 10 years) so i wonder if you have had it for ten years you built up a stronger immunity as apposed to a person who has had it for only one year

you already have hsv1 orally so it's not likely you contracted it genitally. see your provider for a proper exam tomorrow to find out what is going on.

what testing did your gf have to confirm hsv1 genitally?
