HerpeSelect HSV 1 and HSV 2 Testing ELISA

On January 9 I tested for HSV 1 and 2 Using (Labcorp and tSTD)

My results were as follows:

HSV 1 aB IgG  8.0h
HSV 2 aB IgG   negative

I tested again on March 10 to absolutely  sure:

Results

HSV 1 aB IgG 4.92
HSV 2 aB IgG 2.37 Postive

If I am understanding some of what I am reading on the posts and other sites is possible

1. It is a false positve?
2. Is is possible that there has be cross reactivity?

It seems that people with HSV 1 seem to have a variance in test over time?

It could be a false positive or it could be a true result for hsv2. How long before the march test had you last had sex?

You can confirm your hsv2 results with a herpes WB.
