Would I have had a breakout by now? I intercourse with a gal about 3 months ago.

I had intercourse with a gal about 3 months ago. No it wasn’t protected. I know now how easy it is contract. She didn’t know she had it at the time. I got a blood test done today. So I will have results in 48 hours. My question is, would I have had a breakout by now if I contracted it?

Yes, most likely.

It actually isn't that easy to contract. Even if you were in a relationship with her, had sex with her 203 times a week, and all you did was avoid sex during outbreaks, you'd only have a 4-5% chance of getting it a year.

What kind of blood test did you have done? What kind of test did she have done? What were her results on her test? I ask because there are false positives, and if her result was below a 3.5, or it was an IgM test, she needs to get it confirmed. She may not actually have it.

I’m not entirely sure of the test I had. I know it was an hsv test but not sure what exact one. I don’t talk to the gal anymore, she’s blocked me on all social media.
Oh that sounds like a complicated relationship. Did she tell you she has herpes? Can you tell me more about that so I can maybe try and figure that out?

Did your doctor test you or did you go through an online testing site?
