Unprotected sex while menstrating with a guy who has herpes
Hi, I had a friend of mine have sex with a guy who had herpes (which she was totally unaware of till after the fact) and she was also on her period. He hadn't had in outbreak in a while, but a few days after he apparently had an outbreak. He started taking pills again as soon as the outbreak occurred. I don't believe she is showing any symptoms yet, but I am really unsure on how to go about this situation. What should we do? What is the best route to take and what testing should get done if so.
Her menstration will not increase her odds at all. Tell her to be on the look out for sores or papecut type lesions. These will usuall firm inside of 10 days. If she doesn't experience a primary outbreak then she can test after 12 weeks with an igg bloodtest.
