HSV-2 Confusion

I am somewhat confused about some symptoms I have noticed in my pubic region for the past 6 months.  In June I noticed a couple of bumps in my pubic hair region, on the top left where the shaft and lower abdomen meet.  To me they looked like pimples so I popped them and they went away.  A couple days later I noticed 2 more, these were on the other side, more at the very base.  Same thing, popped and were all gone in a day or so.

Then about 1 week later I felt a little bit of irritation on the right side of my scrotum near the base but definitely on the scrotum.  Again there were some pimple-like sores there.  They cleared up about 5 days later.  Since then I have had similar abrasions pop up near the same areas as the first time.  They are completely painless, there is no tingling or itching prior, during, or after.  The only warning sign is that the skin appears a bit reddened in the area where the pimples come.

I have done quite a bit of reading of the posts and answers by the apparently very knowledgeable docs on this site and here are some conflicts to what they have posted suggesting that this may not be herpes.  They are as follows:

I have read from the docs here and other places that HSV-2 in men usually occurs on the shaft and that herpes "does not hide" in areas like the pubic hair.  My abrasions have all occurred well inside the pubic hair line, at the base or crease in the shaft and abdomen, and also on the scrotum.

I have read by the docs here that herpes is always on one side or the other.  My abrasions have appeared clearly on the left side of the base, scrotum, shaft intersection, and completely on the other side of my body on the right side of my scrotum.  I have also read here that the occurrences are usually in one area or recur within an inch of that spot.

I have also read from the docs that symptoms usually occur (in one spot) and then won't return for at least a month.  This is not so in my case, for instance I have had some spots show up on the right side of the scrotum, then go away after a few days.  Then approx 5 days later, I had more show up on the top left area.  They cleared up in 4-5 days, then another batch, like an inch away further to the left, appear just as the the others disappear (about 3 days later).

Then of course there are no sign whatsoever or them coming on, no tingling or itching.  AND the abrasions are completely painless before, during, and after.

I have read the doctors tell paid posters that they likely don't have HSV to anyone one of these anomalies in other's posts, let alone the combination of them all.  So, I am just trying to get anyone's opinion on if this is or isn't HSV-2 infection.  Your comments are appreciated.

This doesn't sound like herpes but you'd need to follow up wtih your provider to find out what is going on. It's been going on for 6 months now so it's time to see a professional and get treatment.

Also, I am just looking for everyone's comments whether you think it is or is not HSV-2.  I don't need the standard - "go see your provider" response.  Just looking for opinions on the symptoms and facts.  Thanks....
