Antibody levels
Hi, my antibody levels showed up at a 1.28 with an igg test. Could this mean it's a false positive? This has ruined my entire life. I haven't had any systoms and would have never have known if I had not been tested. Please help, thank you.
No he has not been tested. The guy I believe gave it to me said when I called to tell him " its the gift that keeps on giving" and then laughed, He says he dosent have it but he is a liar. I have been reading a lot of the posts on here and I have some sort of hope that I dont have it because my antibodys were so low. Im 4 months into this hell and still no outbreaks and believe me I have stress out. I have major fear of rejection without this virus so if I have this I see a very lonely road ahead. I want to thank you for being so good to all these people. Thank you.
At this point repeat your herpes igg blood test to see what it says. your test in november was a bit early so first repeat it. if your hsv2 igg is over 5, no additional testing needed because you know you most likely have hsv2. If it's under 5 then a herpes WB blood test is the next step to rule out a false positive. Another option of course is to just get the WB and be done with it.

July of 2009 I was tested for everything encluding herpes 1 and 2. I did test positive for 1 which is no big deal and HSV-2 was negative. In July of 2010 I run into my ex who I haven't seen in two years and we had a four day hook up (unprotected). I know he has always been careful and we were both tested 3 years ago when we met. I dont know what he has done in the 2 years since Ive seen him. In mid Sept 2010 I had unprotected sex with a guy I met at the grocery store, we dated for about 2 months. My ex started to come back into the picture and we were gonna take a trip to WPB FL so I went and got tested just because I didnt want to take the chance of giving him something. I had no signs or systoms. Nov 16, 2010 my doc told me I tested positive for HSV-2 with an IGG test of 1.28. I stress really hard about everything and after reading systoms I may be imagining tingling but no out break or burning when I pee. Thank you for you help
why did you get tested for herpes? did you have symptoms or was this just a routine screening? also how long prior to your testing had you last had sex?
