Herpes Exposure
Hello,
I recently had protected sex with a new partner; about 3 times--all with condom use. Within a day or so, I started having burning sensation on the first sexual encounter. The burning sensation would start on my penus shaft. Its been going on for a about a week. I saw an MD on Weds for follow up on Graves disease. All my lab work looked good, methimazole is not supressing my immune system, or making me anemic.
I told my MD that I had protected sex and yet there was burning on my penis. He dismissed it after i said it didnt hurt when i pee'd. "Maybe youre irritated by the gel or spermacide".
Anyways, still having the burning for a week went to a med clinic had another MD look at it. No visible sores or redness, just burning. I did a barrage of STD tests, just no herpes tests.
So really what I want to know is: Is this herpes? After close inspection there is some redness, but no bumps or lesions. Now she did try to jerk me off without lube, so this may have chaffed it. But ABX ointment or baby powder doenst relieve the burning sensation. Once, after sex with condom use, it didnt hurt at all.
