Herpes transmission by touch

Hello, I was laying in bed last night and felt a cold sore coming on and I touched it, without thinking I than touched the outside of my vagina - right outside lip. Did I just give myself Genital Herpes? I did NOT touch my insides but I’m still worried.

Short answer is no. With an established oral hsv1 infection it is extremely rare to contract it elsewhere on the body. Your body has built defenses to prevent this. Plus hsv is not easily spread by touching. No need to worry at all
