Herpès / case stdt

Submitting a case study for herpes

I had sexual protected encounter 8 weeks ago with a prostitute. Protected.
2 weeks after I felt little disturbance in my penis. So had the full STD check 4,5 weeks post encounter.
Everything came back negative except a bacterial infection at klebelsia. 10 days of antibiotics. I felt the effect on this infection. But some disturbances remain :

- nerve-like disturbance in the left trsticle
- feeling alternatively cold and warm at the very top of the penis
- huge sciatic nerve trouble yesterday.
- I never had any pain while urinitating
- icr cold in my feets.

No outbreak

I tested HSV 1/2 IGM and IGG non specific at 4,5, 6,5 and 7,5 weeks
I precise I have been on alprazolam for a month (low consummation) for psychological reasons.

4 w : IGM 0,3 / IGG 0,0
6,5 : IGM 0,4 / IGG 0,0
7,5 : IGM 0,4 / IGG 0,1

I know everyone will tell me that those results probably mean I do not have hsv2 and that I am an internet pathological guy about herpeti neuralgia. Now I am just convinced my body is not producing IGG fast enough and the virus is just attacking my nerval system. Have fear because I am French and if medical system is performance here, as HSV2 is not as "usual" as in the US I do not know how (if real) I will handle this.
I meet an urologist this afternoon.

I will keep you posted.

I insisted to have a EBV + CMV testing from the urologist. He said that would not help...but the EBV came back "equivocal" (possible interpretation is either reactivation of mononucleosis virus or non specific reaction)
I do not know if EBV can cause this kind of pain
Now i am experiencing huge burn pain at the basis of the penis after ejaculation. I hope this is due to EBV but keep thinking it is due to an HSV infection not detected that far.
My doc who is "openminded" agrees to give me a herpes antiviral treatment in case this brings some psycho relief for me.
My questions is : i do not want to wonder for months whether i do or do not have HSV ; if i take those meds, for how long will it perturbate future igg testing ?
Thanks

I agree ; my ONLY concern is we had long foreplay activities and my penis was not protected at that time. I know this is not very likely to have happened. She had something like a rash on the breast that i did touch. I was on a very depressive stage so to be honnest i do not remember very well how it happened. my urologist says it s too soon to be formal about herpes / as expected. Also says it could be the urinatory infection having modified something around my nerve. I will keep you posted in case it is of any interest regarding herpes. I just take the occasion to tell people who got the disease and the people who communicate about it to go on with their actions. Herpes, the way it is spread, the fact that you  can lead  a happy life with it not known enough / at least here in western europe.

Hi, first of all since you used a condom, nothing could enter your urethra so you can rule out std,s like Gono and such that could cause testcle infection. Also the risk you contacted herpes using a condom where she did not have any vaginal sores at the time, from a one time affair would be close to zero risk. We dont use igm tests for herpes only igG but since they showed a negative, there would be some credibility for the negative.
Testing at 8 weeks for herpes is a good indicator so your 7.5 test pretty much confirm you dont have herpes.
It would appear that std anxiety and regret for doing this act is causing you to be overly concerned that youve contracted something.

Or could this be due to EBV or CMV ?
