getting both in different ganglions is possible but rare withsome one with an established infection. This is from doctors experts on this forum. If this were not true, those with hsv1 would have herpes all over their bodies.
So, that's what I had read was the case, however, the gynecologist at my University told me that wasn't true, and that I could just as easily give it back to him.
Do you or anyone else have any peer reviewed sources that support the idea that someone won't get it =both= orally and genitally? Alternatively, did you hear this directly from a specialist?
Hi, normally if a person has hsv1 they cant get it in both oral an genital as antibodies would help prevent this. Most who get it in both areas got it at the same time meaning antibodies were not yet developed from the first area. Im not sure this answered your question as its not real clear.
