I was exposed to HSV-1 should I get tested?

I kiss someone who I found out has confirmed hsv-1 twice, he's never had any symptoms before ever, and it's not  a recent infection.
The first time, 23 days ago, we made out, a few times for an hour or so and he was sucking my lower lip a lot, which caused me to bite it a lot on accident during that week. No visible sores on him. I never experienced any other symptoms from that encounter. Well I did get a canker sore about a week later because I bit my the inside of my lower lip really hard on accident while eating.

The second time, 17 days ago, we kissed quickly it was a closed mouth peck but he licked his lips right before...yesterday (so the 16th day) i woke up and had a dryness on my upper lip, this worried me because there is some slight tenderness in this area. It's not noticeable to the naked eye but if i stretch my lips, you can see some tiny dry marks/lines and i can't tell, but possibly TINY bumps, nothings filled with fluid and no obvious blisters. I did use an old lip gloss the day before and that night i remember tucking in/sucking my upper lip as a nervous tic but i don't remember for how long.

He's never had symptoms and at the time nothing, so what are the chances I contracted it? This would be a first exposure for me. Should I bother getting tested in a few months?
I know its incredibly common. Can anxiety cause any symptoms? I'm a very anxious person as it is.

The odds are very liw that you contracted hsv from this. In the absence of obvious symptoms i wouldn't test. Hsv1 igg blood tests are not the greatest and can mis up to 25% of infections.
I understand you anxiety over this but i wouldn't be overly concerned. Like i said the odds are very low

Thanks for answering & just to clarify, the tender (to the touch/if I tuck in my lips),dry spot on my lips isn't a symptom related to it?
