Great news!!! You are very welcome. I fully understand the anxiety this can cause.
I went to the sexual health clinic today, the nurse looked at my concern and said straight away she is confident it is not herpes ! and that there was no need to do any swab test. She also said it doesn't look typical of an STD and to just keep an eye on it. So that's exactly what I intend to do. So just wanted to thank you for your advice. It is appreciated. THANK YOU
Thank you again, I apologise for all my messages but I'm worried sick.
I appreciate your patience and understanding
Hsv would progress into a fluid filled blister in a day or two. Hsv primary outbreaks usually have multiple small sores in small area.
Amy further comments are greatly received as I am extremely worried
Thank you so much for your reply, the pimple / red bump has not changed in sensitivity or size whatsoever and I suspect that over 24 hours I should expect that if it was HSV (please confirm) I have been applying savlon periodically and have reserved the temptation to squeeze it as the head is hardly visible. Thanks again.
See my comment above about how hsv sores progress. Again what you describe with lack of any other symptoms does not suggest hsv. I fully understand your anxiety over this. That being said we say these things a lot to people thinking everything is hsv related. People have not been calling us out on being wrong after testing or seeing a Dr.
Any more comments please ?? I first noticed this pimple looking mark yesterday, it has not changed in size or sensitivity but I am still very anxious, I know that the only true way is to get tested at a clinic which I will after the bank holiday but I can't think about anything else in the meantime, any help, advice or thoughts will be very much appreciated. Thank you all in advance.
Thank you for commenting, it is really appreciated, we did have sex on the night and again in the morning. Still have no other symptoms (other than my nervous sick to the stomach with worry feeling) thanks again for your comments.
Does not sound like hsv at all. If the pimple like bump progreses into a fluid filled blister in the next day or two then get it swabbed. Getting hsv from a one time single exposure with a known positive partner is about 1 in a 1000. Hsv is not a super contagious infection.
Furthermore, I have no other symptoms and feel fine. No sign of fatigue or flu. The spot does not itch or hurt at all... but I am still worried sick
