I had a recent (6 days ago) encounter and my mind is going CRAZY with worry. I think the tip of my penis has been tingling intermittently in an area about the size of a half-dime for ~3-4 days but there is nothing there visually appearing. My sex was protected but with a high risk individual. This is the only possible time of contraction of HSV2.
The tingling, in addition to being a very small area is kinda intermittent -- I notice it when i'm sitting but not when I'm standing or walking. I dunno if it has to do with my penis being pushed against cloth, or I just get mentally engaged when doing something and lose track of it.
I read on this forum (but no where else in literature) that the first outbreak doesnt have prodrome, which would mean my symptoms are something else entirely or 100% in my head. How true is this statement?
thanks for your advice! I will get tested around 2.5 weeks, 6 weeks, and 3 months, but i really need to know where I stand.
