16 week test

I got another igG blood test, as advised by this forum, a little past 16 weeks from the incident. My doctor told me my results today and it was negative for hsv 1 and hsv 2. I do have a little blister on the inside of my urethra, but can i now accept these results as conclusive that i do not have hsv1 or 2? thanks a lot.

no we can not say the blood test is 100% correct but odds are 98% that it's not hsv2 going on.

You have symptoms still going on then you need to follow up on them. plain and simple dear.  it's time to stop thinking herpes and start thinking other causes. it could even be something completely normal that before you never gave a moments notice too but now that you are obsessively checking out your genitals several times a day, have fixated on and can't let go of.  follow up and start believing what you are told instead of holding onto the thought of genital herpes.

the blister has been there for a long time i think you said so its not herpes it does stay there forever they burst sting burn and itch. ur penis is skin think this way if that thing was on your arm would you freak. prolly not i know but its  on your penis but it could be anything irritation from walking or physical activity or it could be an allergy from your soap or something. watch dont focus on it and touch it so much and it'll disappear. i thought i had tingles and itches down there ut after the test and three doctors i realized im feelin these things because i was so dead set that i had herpes but we dont. relax your gonna be fine. that test is so accurate at 16 weeks you dont have to think about it. i've been told it's 99.97 percent accurate. pretty close to 100 dont you think.

hey guys listen i feel the same way about this as you but these test are fda approved so they wouldnt put their stamp on something that isnt accurate. do you think they want to make people think they dont have herpes so they can go out a spread it. they make the test to contain these diseases. your very worried and mental about this i understand i feel the same way but i realize that we only have this one life and you've gotten good news. let it go and if something happens oh well, (but nothing is going to cuz ur negative). stop wasting time on this and go out and live your life because you only have so much time here and then its gone so relax please.

How long have you had the blister.  I have had a weird bump going on 8 weeks and they say that the symptoms of herpes comes and goes and isn't constant like what I am experiencing?  How bout you?

I told you in your other post jon that if you have new symptoms, you need to be seen and have them looked at. It's not likely you have genital herpes with negative herpes igg's at 4 months post encounter.

yes. i had some pain and tingling a while back for a couple days but my doctor told me it was all in my head and it could have been because i was real scared. but the little blister is real and ive never had any changes at allll, ever, on my penis until now. i feel like the bloodwork should be accurate but i want to be sure before i get with the girl i care about

I agree, is the blister the only thing you have seen in the 16 weeks?

We are in the same boat. I had/have symptoms and have a negative 16 week test. There is so much confusion over these blood tests, I don't think I will ever know for sure if I have this or not. Who knows if they are correct, it seems as if there are so many variables. If I beleive the tests then I date and be with whoever I want and not put anyone at risk....why can't I believe that.
