you certainly need to confirm that you have genital herpes and what type you have. you can get a type specific herpes igg blood test for this. A visual diagnosis of herpes is wrong 1/3 of the time so proper follow up to confirm your status is important.
stress doesn't trigger recurrences in the vast majority of people who have genital herpes.
definitely be seen and make sure this is all herpes going on. antivirals won't help if it's something non-herpes causing you all these current symptoms.
Actually I wasnt tested the doctor conducted a physiccal examination and directly told me i have herpes.
I went to several doctors after that and all agreed with the first one.
I was given a Valtrex course after three months but decided to stop it after one week as i wanted my system to fight it normally.
I have been stressed lately due to my health and ive read several comment which mentioned that stress can trigger an OB.
My only concern is why my OBs are increasing.is it the food, stress work or what?
Really there is different things that can happen from infections. I would say you need to be seen and have what is going on tested.
How were you diagnosed as having genital herpes?
Hi Grace,
What do you mean something else. Is there any type of virus that can cause lessions.
Thanks
I'd return to be seen again. make sure this is all herpes going on and not something else.
how were you originally diagnosed as having genital herpes? did they type it as hsv1 or hsv2?
