I'm sorry this happened to you. I'm sorry to ask this, but can you tell us what he did to you? That will help us assess your risk for herpes.

There are a few things your doctors can do if you did have a risk for it.

The first thing is a type specific IgG blood test. It can take a few months for antibodies to develop, and for you to show positive on a test. The big issue with this is that if you have hsv1, we don't know where you have it. You can have hsv1 orally (think cold sores), or genitally (if someone with oral hsv1 gives you oral sex).

The other thing your doctor can do is a swab test called a PCR swab. It's a lot more sensitive than a regular culture, and you don't need to have blisters to get it done. If you have any symptoms, if they're caused by herpes, it will detect herpes.

Gemi asked good questions - how long do the symptoms last when you get them? When you pee, does it hurt inside as you pee, or outside when it hits the skin? Where does your back hurt?

Have they tested you for yeast or bacterial vaginosis?

Also, there's an organization called RAINN - the Rape, Abuse, Incest National Network. They help sexual assault survivors. https://www.rainn.org/ - they have a hotline, and a live chat. Check out their site and consider calling them if you need some help getting through this. (And you will get through it, I promise.)

Hi Jade, first of all, calm down. Things get better, trust me. I am so sorry you had to go through this, it is very unfortunate men at this time still have the balls to do something like that. But in reality, they can get arrested, jailed, and have their whole life gone down the drain! So please please report him as soon as possible!!!

Second, please support us with more details, a great expert here can really help you out.

Why do you think he gave you herpes? Is he positive? Was the sex unprotected? Was there anything visible?
In how long do these bumps resolve? you can attach a photo link of it if you want a more precise  answer.

Please hang in there, you are going to get through this, I promise!
Please though, REPORT THAT GUY.
