Virus movement

I have had genital HSV 2 for over three years now.  About 6 months ago, I had a little cut that I did not yet realize to be herpes.  I had the palm heel of my hand on my lip in that spot while plucking my eyebrows.  I then moved my hand to get another position and my palm heel was directly on the top of my left cheekbone.  I did not vigorously massage it in by any means but it wasn't just a brush of skin either, it was planted for a while.   But the cut on my lip went away quickly, but was then followed by a white tongue with a few sores on my tongue, and tingly nose and itchy face.

In the past I have not taken anti-virals daily.  Once I realized that must have been a herpes outbreak, I went on the meds I already had at home.  I also went to get re-tested to see if I had acquired HSV1, which I have not, and 4 months, and my GP just had me re-tested again (so he could have the results, I went through Planned Parenthood before), at the 6 month mark.  Still no new infection.

I was having strange symptoms around the area by my eye.  A little itchy from time to time, and a throbbing pain.  It felt like there was something pressing on the inside of my L eye.  It seemed to go away, other than itchy irritated eyes.  But it came back about 3 weeks ago, with intensity.  Throbbing thumping pain, then sometimes dull and achy.  Pressure on my the whole side of my face.   From the side of my cheekbone all the way around my eye.  I went to my GP (that was when he had me blood tested).  He says we will figure it out but it is not herpes.  I love my Dr., he is wonderful, and I pray he is right, but the symptoms have persisted.  So 3 days ago, I went ahead and took 2 500mg doses of Valacyclovir,  which is how it is was prescribed to me to treat an outbreak.  Following day 1 of the double dose, the throbbing pain went away.  Then I felt tingling all the way to the tip of my nose, down my chin and tightness around my eye.  Last night I still had some throbbing underneath my eye, and today, I still feel that dull ache around my eye.  Am I having an outbreak that never developed because of the daily 500mg I was taking?

I know it is highly unlikely to transfer HSV to yourself after the initial outbreak.  But I truly fear this is what I have done.  Since I have no new infection, I was able to transfer it from my genitals to my mouth, right?  So why not again?  The symptoms feel like HSV.  But I also have never had an outbreak last this long, I don't even think my initial outbreak was over 3 weeks.  If it is not HSV, what could it be?  Thank you for your help.

you already posted this on the experts forum and received advice there.  absolutely nothing I could add that you haven't already been told by me and now by HHH too.

I wrote you an email immediately after I posted this.  As my email said, posting here was an honest mistake.  I thought I was posting to the expert forum.  If you look at your email, and or the time that I posted on the expert forum, you will see this is true.  Both this post, directly followed by the email I sent you, occur before my post on the expert forum, which was my original target.
