I am female, 21, and have had HSV II for slightly over a year now. my partner is immune to herpes and over the time we've been together we've never used condoms except for when we got gonorrhea from swinging with another couple.(with condoms)
I have recurrent herpes and it is always accompanied with a smelly milky off white discharge. It is not very thick, sometimes there are white chunks, and watery. when i had gonorrhea it was yellow. i have been tested for it after being treated and it is negative. my question is, is this common in women with HSV II? I have read many forums and some say yes some say no and i am very confused about this.
I am currently not on any suppressants, and my outbreaks occur at least once a month, and during stressful months twice, or before/during my period. the only time it had a 3 month break was when i was taking echinacea ce to zinc (http://www.blackmores.com.au/products/Detail.aspx?ProductID=1851) three times a day for a month.
would suppressants (acyclovir etc) get rid of the discharge, is this common in HSV II sufferers or could it be something else like bacterial vaginosis?
